Halie Kohl
Outreach Intern
Coming from a grain and livestock family, I developed my passion for agriculture at a young age. In May 2020, I established Halie's Farmstand where I grow and market produce to the surrounding community. My diversified agriculture background includes raising show pigs and tending to goats, rabbits, and chickens. Currently, I am dually enrolled at Kankakee Community College as a General Education major and at Illinois State University as an Agribusiness major.
With the Outreach Internship position, I will work alongside Crystal and Matt to continue to expand our "Soil on Demand" ag conservation project through planning, field trial setup and maintenance, agronomic data collection, farmer communication, event facilitation, and more. I enjoy expanding my knowledge of the agriculture industry and am looking forward to this opportunity.
When I am not working in the office or on the farm, you can find me boating, off-roading, hunting, or basically anything outdoors.
