Are you looking for experience within conservation, agriculture, and education? The Kankakee County SWCD periodically offers paid internship positions targeted to college students and recent grads. If you're a fulltime college, District staff will work with you to create a flexible internship schedule depending on your course load.
Our internships provide an opportunity to learn more about local conservation initiatives, sustainable agriculture, community outreach, and the daily operations of a local unit of government. Working at the Kankakee County SWCD is a dynamic experience - new projects, programs, and events are always in the works!
The Kankakee SWCD is currently hiring a Spring Intern! The intern will be working alongside the Resource Conservationist to continue and expand our “Soil on Demand” ag conservation project, plan and promote our spring and summer outreach programs, and assist with occasional field visits.
