BRING OUT YOUR INNER "BIRDER"!

Do you enjoy bird watching? Are you interested in learning more about the bird species found in Kankakee County? The Kankakee Valley Audubon Society, an affiliate of the Illinois Audubon Society, hosts bird walk field trips throughout the year that are open to students, families, educators and any fellow bird enthusiast who wants to learn more about our native bird species. The trips are on Saturdays throughout the year, in places like Perry Farm and the Kankakee River State Park. The trips offer a great opportunity to surround yourself with our county's bird experts, form relationships and learn more about the native flora and fauna. You will walk away not only learning more about birds, but about the plants, animals, insects and other curiosities found in our ecologically diverse county.
